Important information
New Oracle Java License Terms
ISOWARE uses Java and has so far recommended using Oracle Java. The license terms for Oracle Java
have changed, which means that Oracle Java is no longer free to use commercially. Future use of Oracle
Java will therefore incur a licensing cost. Oracle has created a FAQ on the subject, which can be read
here: Oracle JDK License General FAQs.
If the license cost is not desired, we recommend using OpenJDK instead. OpenJDK installation
packages can be downloaded here: https://adoptopenjdk.net. ISOWARE has been tested with the
OpenJDK 8 (LTS) version and this is therefore recommended as a replacement for Oracle Java.
Browser support
ISOWARE does not support Internet Explorer 11 or any previous versions of Internet Explorer.
Improvements and new features
Default values in report fields
The field types Responsible, Combobox, Radio buttons and Text now all have the option of specifying a
default value, i.e., a value that the fields are prefilled with when a new report is created.
In each of the above fields there is now a field named Default Value where you can select which value
to use for prefilling.
Filtered user lists in report fields
In the field types Responsible, Combobox, Radio buttons and Search field, it is now possible to make
filtering of which users it is possible to select.
For the field types Combobox, Radio buttons and Search field, it applies that they must use the User
List data source type before this option is present.
Attach files to projects
It is now possible to attach files directly to projects.
New module - Files
The File module replaces the old File Manager that was used in Text Documents.
Files are opened from the main menu:

Users must have been granted rights to the Files module before the module can be used. For this
purpose, a new set of permissions has been created in the user management.

The Files module provides an overview of the files that a user has the right to view. Files are displayed
from the organization or organizations where the user has at least the right to Show files.
In user management, users can be assigned file rights for each organization, e.g., to upload, modify and
delete files and folders.
The file overview shows the organizations to which the user has file access in the menu on the left.
Leaflets created in the organization are also displayed here. If a folder is selected in the menu, its
contents are displayed in the list on the right.
An optional number of leaflets can be created in the organization. Folders are managed by right-
clicking in the menu on the left.
Files can be uploaded either using the Upload Files button or by dragging and dropping files in the list
on the right.
Details of a file / folder can be viewed by double-clicking on one of the items in the list on the right.
All items in the list on the right have a right-click menu, which gives access to all functions that can be
performed on the item, e.g., Download or Delete.
Files and folders can be moved by dragging them from the list on the right, to the new location in the
menu on the left.
Files created in the old File Manager are not found in the new module, but it is possible to import them
by selecting Import files from FileManager / userfiles from the Settings menu:
Existing links to images and files created in Text Documents using the old File Manager will continue
to work.
Files uploaded to the Files module can be used to insert images, etc. in text documents, as well as used
to attach files to reports, processes, projects and tasks.
Create multiple Dashboards
An optional number of dashboards can now be created in the organization and dashboards can be
shared with the organization so that all other users in the organization can use the dashboard you
have created.

Dashboards located in My Dashboards can only be seen by you. Other dashboards can be viewed by
all users in the organization.
Drag and drop files for reports, processes, projects and tasks
In reports, processes, projects and tasks, it is now possible to drag and drop files.
Drag and drop images directly to a Text document
It is now possible to drag and drop an image directly into a Text document.
The image is automatically saved in ISOWARE when the document is saved.
Task folders in projects
In the project module, it is now possible to divide project tasks into folders.
Background images in modules
It is now possible to insert background images in each module.

Background images can be uploaded in the organization settings for Appearance.
Insertion of process learning in the competence list
If you want a competency level to be inserted in the user's competency list when the user clicks Read
and understood in connection with process learning, you can now tell the system which competency
level to use.
Use the check mark This competence level is inserted when users indicate that they have read
and understood a process to indicate that this competency level should be used for process learning.
Competence levels can be edited in the organization settings for Processes / Competence levels.
Images on login page
An optional number of images can now be uploaded to be displayed in rotation on the login page.

Login images can be uploaded in the system settings for Appearance.
Changes / additions to process searches
A new built-in search has been created that can show if there are process learning queries called
Processes awaiting my confirmation.
Built-in searches that are not relevant will not be displayed in the future.
In searches where it is not relevant to search in drafts, the search is now performed so that all
approved processes are included and not only those where it is the latest version that has been
approved. In other words, the searches are performed with process reader rights.

Defects
Sub-organizations were in some cases not available in the organization tree.
Input validation on date fields was deficient and allowed invalid dates.
